{Wear} Layering Attempt Round 2

Hello and good evening, readers!

Today's look is another attempt to layer a fitted sweater over a dress. I think I was much more successful than my last attempt, which was a bit too lumpy to be comfortable. The sweaters are similar but with a slightly different neckline. The sweater I'm wearing below has sequins sewn into the neckline.

I'm curious, if you find an item that you love, would you/do you buy it in multiple colors?

Dress: Ann Taylor
Sweater: The Limited
Shoes: Tahari
Belt: Anthropologie Rippled Ribbon Belt but it here)
Bracelet: J. Crew
Earring: Blue Nile

I think your layering here looks perfectly seamless. For a minute there I thought it was a top and skirt. Your bow belt is really cute!
I tend not to buy in multiples. I like to pick the colour i love the most and just go with it. I prefer variety of styles to variety of colours. But that's just silly ol' me :-)

Thank you! I find it hard sometimes to only pick one, so if it's a good deal, I'll maybe buy 2.
I think this worked really well! and the bow on top of the sweater is such a cute detail and really accentuates the waist. wonderful!

Thank you! I will definitely enjoy my day after such a compliment!
I love your layering attempt here, even with the straps peeking out.

I tend not to buy in multiples because I like to have variety in my wardrobe. The only exception I might make is when it comes to handbags, although I bought the same bag in different colors before and ended up selling one because I thought I should have something else.
I used to buy things is multiple colours.. I would just waltz into H&M and buy the same jumper/ shirt in 3 different ways. Now I just think it makes my wardrobe look boring and uninspired. It makes me feel like I have put no effort into choosing my clothes (which I am trying oh so hard to do just now).

I have too many clothes and I should cut down on the amount I own and only replace with good quality classic pieces that will last. Then layer on top cheaper 'season' pieces which don't need to last as long. As a student I am beginning to notice the virtues of clothes that last a long time and don't go out of shape/ lose their colour/ stain under the armpits/ unravel/ etc etc etc...

I like to wear jumpers over dresses :) I think it looks cute and gives you a brand new skirt!

I agree with you on the quality of clothing! It's definitely worth it to hold out for quality.
Very pretty sweater Kimmie. The embellishment on the neckline is subtle, so you could layer this with almost anything. . The neutral Bow Belt ties in the sandals. I actually sent the same belt back when I realized I already have 2 bow belts in neutral. Clunk! I could have had the blue.

The only items I buy in multiple colors are T shirts. I would have the Molded and Melded in a rainbow if it were possible.
The belt is very cute and unique, i wish I can find one for me! this is also ideal for the summer coming bec just incase the unpredictabel weather mellows down, you have a sweater to layer right away...=) i think , yes, the drawing request will be a new feature just for the fun of seeing other bloggers in the drawing form, but I am not picking anyone since I know my friend Style Canvass has almost similar blog features, i don't want to take her style...she's a really nice firend.=)
