{ Wear } A Shopping Jaunt

Hello readers and happy almost weekend!

With the temperatures cooling down and the threat of rain, it's finally starting to feel like fall in our new home. I decided to go shopping early today to beat the afternoon crowds and rain.

I've had a small challenge in transitioning my wardrobe to a more casual lifestyle. Since the majority of my clothes are corporate appropriate, I've been trying to make my outfits more casual for day-to-day wear. Today I paired one of my textured skirts with a simple tank and cardigan.

Sometimes I find it difficult to wear my 'normal' school clothes over the summer in a casual way. But this one works well. The skirt is super cute.

Did you get a new job with a casual dress code? If so, I'm a little jealous. I think that it's always difficult to transition different looks and pieces from your wardrobe. Just have fun with it and don't over think anything. You look great! Enjoy that Fall weather. It's still hot over here. I love the skirt. Is it tweed?

Hi Iman! Yes, my skirt is tweed. I bought it almost 2 years ago, and I try to find different ways to wear it since it's my favorite. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure a position out here before our move. While I'm looking, I don't want to live in jeans and t-shirts while the rest of my closet sits unworn. I wish it were warm a little longer, but fall is one of my favorite seasons.

What a beautiful outfit. Purple really suits you! I have a problem with casual outfits as well. Since I'm constantly wearing skirts and dresses for work, wearing jeans on casual days seems like the obvious choice, but I feel like such a slob in them! I almost feel more comfortable wearing a skirt with a casual top like you did here...except then I usually get weird looks from people :)

Thank you! Sometimes I feel like I'm giving up when I wear jeans and a t-shirt. One thing I've learned since starting this blog is that it doesn't matter what you wear as long as you're comfortable.

The colors look really great on you!! I love how you added a longer length cardigan. It gives it a more casual feel than a short cardigan.
