A Little Something

Hello readers!

I'm sure you're wondering why I'm posting so early in the afternoon. Well, I'm sorry to say that I had to leave work early as I'm not feeling well. That means there won't be an outfit post today. I'm really sad, because I really wanted to share my look with you today.

Instead, I'll share with you a few of my accessories and how I keep my jewelry organized. I took these photos about a month ago to play with the different settings on my camera. All of my rings, pins and watches are inside of my jewelry box as well as most of my earrings, bracelets and necklaces. The necklaces and bracelet that you'll see didn't have a place to call home, so they loiter on my dresser and wall. Neatly, of course. They don't want to upset the residents.

I'm constantly looking for unique pieces to add to my collection, especially creature pieces (spiders, owls, beetles). I also want to add a few more scarves in different colors, especially an infinity scarf. If you are too, check out AppGal's site, Musings on the Mountain, to enter for a chance to win a handmade scarf from Fibrevolution on Etsy. They look so warm and toasty and I can't wait to bring it home.

I recently started collecting longer necklaces that are too long to fit in my jewelry box. So, I hammered a few nails in the wall to store them. They are either Anthropologie or Forever 21.

Owls are my favorite animals and this owl had to come home with me on our trip to Alaska. It's carved out of wood. So cool! The little bowl is made of wood and some type of bone. My folks brought it back as a gift from their trip to Africa. I keep my stud earrings in there so they're easier to find. The little box on top of the slightly larger box was a gift from my best friend when we were girls. She brought it back from Hawaii on one of her family vacations.

The gold bracelet is from Anthropologie and is one of my favorite jewelry purchases. I don't wear it to work since it would get in the way of my typing.
